I am a public school teacher. I have been in the government service for twenty years. It was only during the time of Winston Garcia that we experienced problems in GSIS with regard to loans, premiums and even annual dividends . (I have not received any dividend since he stepped into his office).
I have been trying to search the web about any step that the government has undertaken to help GSIS recover the billions that have been stolen by Garcia through his grave misuse of the government employees' premiums and retirement funds. I have not found any news about this.
Garcia's lawyer said "Garcia is a genius"... I guess he really is... to be able to squander somebody else's money and come out clean... well... that's something! I really hope the government does something ASAP to correct everything he has done particularly about our records.
The last time I went to the GSIS provincial office in Bulacan, I asked for a copy of my premium contributions. I was really shocked to find out so many months (in their record) that were missing when we are being deducted these premiums monthly without fail. I think this is Garcia's genius working on the records of the GSIS members... but of course he attributes this to the computer failure... ha ha ha... Up to this time our records are still in a big mess.
I am writing to you to simply ask you to please post any NEWS about what the government is doing to help its poor Garcia-victims. We are hoping that now that the culprit is gone that everything will be in order... we are also hoping that he will be prosecuted by law for every misdeed he has done... that he will be required to return every single centavo of the money he has stolen from us. I hope the government will not whitewash the pink elephant that has trampled on the very same people it is trying to serve and protect.
